This book! Wow, just wow! I was so excited for this sequel and it did not disappoint. Not only did it take me on an emotional rollercoaster, but there was amazing wlw rep. I really loved this duology. I loved that the main conflict within them didn’t have to do with the MC’s queerness. And this book in particular, I felt, dealt with the very real consequences of PTSD. Hannah’s magic doesn’t work like it used to because of her trauma. And a lot of this book is her figuring out to use it again. It’s heartbreaking, but it also felt very real considering the conclusion of the last book. I thought this was a fantastic sequel and I highly recommend it!
